AR Scavenger hunt: AR-tifact

Facebook approached us to help design and develop AR experiences for their annual 2018 F8 conference in San Jose. We came up the idea of creating a scavenger hunt, called “AR-tifacts.”
We distributed QR code conference badges to attendees. When scanned, a 3D AR map populated on the badge indicating the locations of key artworks around the venue.
When participants scanned the artworks, they could explore and engage with the AR-tifacts. When attendees successfully solved and shared on it their social platform, special rewards were unlocked.
I was in charge of art direction, visual and interactive design and managed a team of animators and developers to deliver fully functional, artistic, AR project files to Facebook’s internal developer team.
